Questions About Our MTN Yotas Products

Every bumper we build uses the same material spec across the board:
  • Main tubes and prerunner bar: 1.75" x .120" wall tubing
  • Brace tubes: 1.5" x .120" wall DOM tubing
  • Winch plate, all gusseting, and skid plate backer: 1/4" steel
No shortcuts, no lightweight substitutes. Every piece is cut, welded, and finished in-house at our Wheat Ridge, Colorado shop.
The skid plate is integrated directly into the front bumper, it's not a separate purchase. While most brands offer a connector skid plate bolted on as an add-on, we've engineered the entire front skid plate into the bumper itself. One piece, fully integrated, no gaps in coverage.
Bumpers that ship nationwide are sent raw. Raw steel ships better, arrives undamaged, and holds up without the risk of powder coat chipping in transit. If you're having your bumper installed at our Wheat Ridge shop, we offer in-house powder coating as part of your build.
The front bumper accepts any 10,000 lb winch. We recommend Warn or Superwinch, both of which we've tested extensively off-road and consider to be among the best units on the market. If you're unsure which winch to run, give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.
Yes, every product we make is designed, fabricated, and finished right here in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at the Mountain Yotas off-road shop.
Absolutely. We wheel all the time, and if something doesn't meet our standards we go back to the drawing board. We only sell what we abuse, and if it fails, we rebuild it. We only build the best, right here in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
On the hardest trails in Colorado and in Moab, Utah.
Yes. In addition to our fabricators, we have two engineers on staff who CAD-design directly around the Toyota and Lexus chassis.
At any given time, Mountain Yotas has 4 to 5 fabricators on staff here at our shop in Colorado.
Since the launch of the 4th Gen Tacoma, we've installed hundreds of products from other companies and we've seen what works and what doesn't, not just from a wheeling and strength perspective, but from a parts compatibility perspective as well. We design our hybrid bumpers, skid plates, and rock sliders around strength, engineered to be the best. We literally improve where other mainstream fabricators fall short. We fabricated and engineered our own armor line for the 4th Gen Tacoma because there was a gap in the market. Very few off-road and overland manufacturers offer a high-strength, high-clearance armor option for the 4th Gen that's engineered correctly while offering a wide variety of parts compatibility.
